Grace Notes will soon be integrated into Grace for Today.
Same passion. Same purpose. New name.
“In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor” Ephesians 1:7 Amplified
What does this mean to me?
This means that no matter how many times I stumble and fall He is faithful and will help me through all of my challenges and failures.
Courage: mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty (merriam-webster.com)
What does this mean to me? In three words – suck it up. Yeah, I said it. Why? Because if you want to accomplish anything in life you have to have to courage to go beyond your fear, challenges, and even the nay-sayers (more like ney sayers because they sound like nagging horses after a while … lol) and press, push, pull or whatever you have to do to accomplish your goal(s). So what if you fail. Check yourself. Adjust yourself. Change yourself if/when necessary … and move on remembering that God’s grace will keep and carry you to your destination. And guess what is developed under pressure: pearls, diamonds and other precious jewels. Hey that’s you and me! Cool isn’t it? Yup!
As in the days of your coming forth from the land of Egypt, I will show them marvelous things. The nations shall see [God’s deliverance] and be ashamed of all their might [which cannot be compared to His]. They shall lay their hands upon their mouths in consternation; their ears shall be deaf. (Micah 7:15, 16)
What is this saying to me? When God delivers us from our sin, releases us from the emotional and/or spiritual weights that has us bound we begin to see and experience God in awesome ways; ways we couldn’t imagine possible. Israel saw God feed them in the wilderness, maintain their wardrobe (in the wilderness), heal, teach, and correct – all in the wilderness. So, no matter where we find ourselves God is more than able and willing to help us. “Signs and wonders follow them that believe.” (Mark 16:17)
My Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank You for just being awesome! I really can’t find anything beyond that and it’s not adequate enough to really tell you how I feel. So, Abba (Daddy), will you do something for me? Will you bless those who read this? Grant them the grace to experience Your provision and generosity. Show them great and mighty things as they become loosened and relieved of the weights (burdens) that have them sluggish, despondent, and tired. Let them know that it’s not church as usual, but it’s about a relationship with YOU. I love you! Thanks.
Grace for today! We seem to worry about things in our past and future. Redirect you efforts, energies and other engagements remembering that God already knows your past, present and future. He has given us enough grace for today – tomorrow will take care of itself. (See Matthew 6:25-34)
Live out your today through the new grace and mercies bestowed on you from God. And you just might find yourself with so much peace that you’d forgotten what you were stressed out about in the first place. Wouldn’t that be cool?!
